Our first outing as a family of four...
There is a beautiful new nature park less than a mile from our house. I am such a germaphobe, Benjamin and I had not been away from the house since we got home from the hospital. I am such a home body, but Jonathan is not. He was determined that I get out of the house and go somewhere. He mentioned the park so that Emma could run and play and get rid of some energy, but our local play park is usually slam full of kids. Not good for a 1 week old. Plus, the new kid eats way too often and I'm not much for breastfeeding in public. So, we packed the diaper bag, snack and blanket and plopped the kids in the car.
Working with kids, I always have toys in the car and that little blue ball is always enticing when Emma gets in my car. She and Jonathan played and played.
Benjamin and I snuggled.
We looked at the clouds.
And visited the bird houses.
Pardon Emma's choice of clothing - an 18 month faded t-shirt and Grandma shorts. Her daddy dressed her.
Emma is such a big help. When we packed up to go she said "I'll carry him!"
